Hand Knitting
An ongoing hand-knitting practice, self-taught and worked from purchased patterns with yarn and hardware chosen piece by piece. Linen-cotton, silk and cashmere blends, finished with vintage mother-of-pearl buttons from the 1940s and 1990s.
Technique: Hand knitting · Learned: Self-taught · Patterns: Purchased · Yarn & hardware: Selected by me
Part of an ongoing personal making practice. The patterns are bought; the material decisions — fiber, weight, color, and the buttons that finish each piece — are where the work happens.
